I’ve been a bit overwhelmed lately, so just a quick card this time. I’ve been able to get my hands on a couple of Spellbinders Impressabilities metal templates. I was attracted to them because of the possibility of using them to create a faux letterpress technique. While I’m not 100% happy with this card, using the templates in this way was super easy. I’ll definitely keep trying.
Just a quick tip: If you’d like to try the Impressabilities, be gentle. They are super thin and very easily bent. Also, be sure to use a slow drying ink; I used Stampin’ Up’s craft ink. I’ve read a recent suggestion that 2 be bought of each at a time–one for the whole image and the other to cut up for separate detail work (more bang for the buck). I’ll most likely not cut mine up but I understand why you might.
I’m going to be taking a break from cards for a while as I will be busily attempting to finish my son’s second scrapbook before his 3rd birthday arrives. I also will be working on items for my Etsy store too. I hope to really have that up and going full force by next month.
It springs eternal. Hope, that is.
Be well.
