CRAFT YOU.

This is unknown territory for me.  A Whole New World, as it were.  But, what I do know is that at my core, my center, I’ve always been a crafter.  It’s taken many shapes and forms throughout the years.  I even have a culinary degree.  But, I’ve always bounced around in some type of arts and crafts–from painting, to cross stitching, to making ceramics.  However, what I love about scrapbooking (and all of its offshoots) is that it allows me to combine all of these loves into a singular medium.  Now that I think about it, I still have my original sticker collection:  a 12 x 12 album featuring stickers that I collected beginning in about the fourth grade or so.  It is one of the things that I treasure from my childhood; one of the things that I was able to salvage from a fire contained to just my bedroom back when I was in high school.  It lives in my craft space now.  Funny how life works in circles.

And so, here we are.  And where we are is a place where I am trying to turn my passion into my livelihood.  I am in a constant state of continual learning, as an adviser once told me, and I am always looking to learn what I don’t know about papercrafting.  More than that, I hope to challenge myself to create some new and exciting things.  It is what I admire most about people who operate in this field–the ability to turn something unique out of very little or nothing at all.  Nothing except paper, glue and some embellishments, that is.  So this is a place where you can join me on my journey.  While I will strive to offer you something useful, I wish to inspire you to do bigger and better things.  Ultimately, I hope that we can learn from each other.
